Welcome to our church website! I hope that you will find all the information
you need as you explore the various ministries of Bowdoinham Second Baptist. I
have had the privilege of being the pastor here since October 2004 and am
finding every day more wonderful things about this congregation and our
community.
Our mission statement (stated above) helps us grow in the direction that God is desiring us to go. This mission
contains several points: First we are a church who wants to share the Good News
of Jesus Christ with our community and with the world through missions. Second we
want to share Christ's love to our community by being a positive part of our
community and by being actively involved in the things that are important to our
community. Finally, our goal is to be in a perpetual pattern of spiritual
growth. We realize that God's will for each person is for us to be in a vibrant
relationship with Him. That relationship involves prayer, worship, fellowship
together, study in God's Word, and other aspects of discipleship that draw us
closer to our Heavenly Father.
If you currently do not have a church home, I would like to invite you to
join us sometime for a special event or a Sunday morning worship service. I
believe you will find a welcoming family where you will experience the love of
God and even be challenged toward spiritual growth.
