Church World Service needs Hygiene Kits for Haiti

 

CWS has emptied the warehouse and sent every kit they have to Haiti for the relief effort.  And they still need more. 

We can help in one of 2 ways:

 

A $10 donation to CWS will purchase a kit.  Make checks payable to Bowdoinham Second Baptist Church , put “Hygiene Kit” on the memo line, and we will do the rest!

 

To assemble a Hygiene Kit you will need:

One hand towel measuring approximately 16" x 28" (no fingertip or bath towels)

One washcloth

One wide-tooth comb

One nail clipper (no metal files or emery boards)

One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)

One toothbrush (in original packaging)

Six Band-Aids®

 

Seal all items in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure.

 

Please do not add toothpaste to the Hygiene Kit. Toothpaste that has an extended expiration date will be added to Hygiene Kit shipments just prior to shipment.

 

Give $2 per Kit to cover processing/shipping costs.  May be cash attached to each kit or may be check for total number of kits – payable to Bowdoinham Second Baptist Church; put “kit processing” on memo line.
